My name is Diana and I'm a reformed Scale Junkie. I've learned over time that the scale is only one measure of progress towards the path to better health. I take a holistic approach to weight loss: this journey is as much about the emotional and spiritual well being as it is about the body. It's about eating a clean diet and making my body and mind stronger and healthier in the process.I live in the Tampa Bay area Florida, with my charming English husband and our two dogs Sadie and Max. We moved to the Tampa bay area in 2002 because London was "too bloody cold" I had lived in Clearwater Florida for about 15 years before we got married so when I had enough of the cold English weather, I suggest to Ken we take a little holiday to Florida to thaw our bones. The weather was glorious and when I said "let’s stay" he said "why not?" and so we did.
Sadie and Max came into our lives in 2006, they have been a constant source of joy. I never thought it would be possible to love an animal so much but I do and they return that love tenfold.
So why have I told you about my husband and my dogs when this is a site about my weight loss? Because Ken is my biggest fan, he is part trainer, part coach, 100% motivator and a wonderful husband. Not to mention that he has the most adorable English accent. Not that I've noticed but women point it out to him everywhere we go. "Ohhh I just LOVE your accent" *giggle* He takes it in stride but if I had a dollar for every time we've heard that....you know the story. I didn’t marry him for his accent, he is an amazing man who sees right through my tough exterior and straight into my heart and soul. He is my best friend, my biggest fan and the love of my life all rolled into one. Oh and he thinks I’m pretty great too.
Sadie and Max are my walking buddies and our daily walks benefit all of our health.
