So I needed a necklace to go with my outfit but I wasn't really finding anything I liked so I made one. I guess if we were playing one of those little known random facts about me games I would mention that one of my hobbies is making sterling wire and beaded jewelery. I typically make them as gifts or sell them. I think one of the greatest compliments is when I leave the house wearing something and come home without it because someone has bought it from me while I was at the grocery store or where ever.
This little creation is made with Czech lampwork silver lined beads (the wavy ones) amethyst (the dark purple beads) and silver peacock fresh water pearls (the lumpy looking beads) along with silver lined Czech glass beads (the smallest beads) with a sterling silver toggle closure.
Adding to my list of things to do...I'm going to eventually make a website to sell my jewelery someday.
So now I really need to learn to use my new camera because honestly, this photo just doesn't do the necklace justice, it turned out so much better than I hoped.
Beautiful necklace! Best of luck as you continue on your weight loss journey!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I used to make and sell jewelry too. I stopped years ago but still have all my supplies and hope to start up again one day.
ReplyDeleteI second the eBay and etsy shops. Do you have an intranet at work? I sold lots of pieces and sets at work one year right before Christmas. Good luck!
