Dear women of the northern hemisphere,
Its summer time once again and I’d just like to give you a friendly reminder....GET A PEDICURE. Clean up your feet before you go out in open toed shoes or sandals. Pedeggs work wonders on that dead skin and that chipped polish from last summer…come on, clean it up already! I’m not saying you need to spend $50 on a spa pedicure, I’m just saying take 20 minutes tonight and pay attention to your feet.
- Remove that old nail polish
- Give your feet a soak for 10 minutes
- Clip and file your toe nails
- Get rid of that dead skin and moisturize!
- Give those tootsies a coat of fresh and bright polish!
See, wasn’t that easy! Have a nice summer,
Love,
Scale Junkie

Lovely idea.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me I need to sit down and focus on some NON food rewards for when I manage to hit certain key weights -- I think paying for a professional pedicure might be one of them -- thanks for the idea !!
Best wishes,
Sharon
That's the first thing I do after having feet in heavy boots and shoes all winter.
ReplyDeleteOne of my summer pet peeves is seeing attractive women with beautiful sandals and then looking down and seeing the horror that is their heels!!!! Blecch!
Great treat if you meet a goal :)
I am going to get a ped egg... Right now I just have a thing from Sally's that I use once or twice a week to keep them smooth. I change polish once a week. I did slack this weekend and let it go. I'll change it up this weekend for sure as it's chipping off from all the running. But they are filed and clipped!
ReplyDeleteGuilty. My heels are fine, but toenail polish (or lack thereof) is embarrassing. I do solemnly promise to fix my feet before I go to the beach next week. :o)
ReplyDeleteguilty!
ReplyDeleteBut my heel is in bad shape because the back of it got torn OFF in a car accident a few years back, and it doesn't matter how well I take care of my feet, it looks horrible.
But don't worry, I don't wear sandels and inflict my ugly scars on anyone.
Our feet take a lot of abuse and carry the pressure of all of our extra pounds, we need to be kind to them!
ReplyDeleteBesides, its a nice way to pamper ourselves too!
I had a professional pedicure once and it was wonderful. Somehow, pedicures make you feel soooo good.
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting this out there.. you read my mind on this. There's something so great about having pretty well taken care of feet.
ReplyDeleteYou are sooo right. I use the PedEgg & it is wonderful! It will help keep your feet pedicure soft in between, so you only need a professional peddie for pleasure, Not necessity! Not expensive & make sure you get the refills too! No one should be showing Zombie feet! Thanks for sending out the PSA!
ReplyDeleteoh junkie.
ReplyDeletemy feet are HORRIBLE.
and I DO do the pedicure thang.
and dryheeltips?
send em my way!

wellllllll your PSA reached me at 630 am this morning already filed and removed polish and have a base coat on so i can polish this evening or weekend which ever is the least busiest for me... :-)
ReplyDeleteheheh I am probably one of those women who needs to listen to your PSA! I am so neglectful of my feet. I will leave polish on forever and rarely paint my toes. there isnt much that will beautify size 11 feet!
ReplyDeleteThat is a phenominal idea! I just realized that I too need to come up with some new rewards or myself! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteJamie
I have bought several pairs of new sandals already, somehow they never last more than one season, so I've got to buy new ones every year. A pedicure is in order!
ReplyDeleteI get pedicures every four weeks. That is my "me" time. It is absolutely the best feeling! I agree with you completely!
ReplyDeletehehehe thanks... we alls hould take some time for ourselves eh?
ReplyDeleteGreat idea
AMEN sistah!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you that I think it's wonderful you thought to address this to women of the Northern Hemisphere. I love your global vision!
ReplyDeleteMy feet aren't in too bad of shape. I try to keep them up, but I do think I should treat myself to a pedicure. Thanks for the idea!!
It's definitely important to take care of those feet and make them pretty. I get spa pedicures throughout the year and they always make me feel great.
ReplyDeleteHere, here!! =D I live in South Florida and let me tell you, with all the flip flops and sandals people need to pay special attention to their tootsies all year round!! You truly committed a great public service with your announcement!! =)
