A little bit more motivation

It was a HOT weekend here in Florida. I spent too much time running around in the heat of the day and although I drank quite a bit of water, it wasn’t enough. By the time we got home I was ready to drop! While the East coast of the USA sizzled, the West coast had some down right chilly temps, the Midwest had storms and flooding...overall another wild ride for the weekend. I hope you're all safe.

Lots of family drama over the weekend involving Ken’s family and I’d love to just blab all about it here but I’m afraid it would come back to haunt me. I don’t want his family to google the topic and connect my blog to it. They were mortified by my size when they met me and most of them didn’t exactly make me feel welcomed. I don’t need them reading all of the details of my weight loss struggles. The good news is his sister and her twin teenage girls are planning a trip to the states next year, a week of which will be spent in Florida with us! It’s good news because it will make Ken very happy to see them and its good news for me because it gives me an extra motivator to really keep with this weight off and keep it off!

  1. Hi Diana - I'm glad you survived the HOT weekend (sounds like it was hot in more ways than one! Ah, family issues...) We had a warm weekend here, as well - and now this morning, we have fog. Strange weather...

PS - Thanks for the shout-out about my portion of the Summer Blog Party. But the hyperlink you created leads to another blog, not mine. :-)

  2. I give you a ton of credit for living in these temps for more than a weekend. I'm about fried. I would have the AC on all summer long and pray for winter.

  3. um, I am totally horrified and shocked (do I live in the land of delusion as Id feared?) that they gave what you looked like a thought.

people kill me. and not in a good way.

I admire you for being circumspect.

  5. wow we got some of that heat too.. and hopefully its going to come down a bit.. it was 95 at 8 am yesterday .. so much for motorcycle riding or much of anything outside.. we did run errands and then came home pooped from the heat.. I hate hot and steamy weather in Ala.. I love fall.. and a winter.. we dont even have spring anymore here it goes straight from the 30s to the high 80s.. atleast it did this year.. Remember sweetie the weight loss is for you.. no one else.. Ken gets the benefits of your good health.. I am saddened that you were not treated as the wonderful person you are by his family upon meeting you.. but on the other hand having a goal with his family coming in is a good idea too.. regardless this journey.. is your journey and not about impressing anyone but yourself...
