Healthy You Challenge Check In Week 29, 2009

Welcome to week 29! I hope everyone is having a great week. Mine has been full of ups and downs but I guess thats just a part of life. You might notice (or not) that it looks a bit different around here. I did a bit of remodeling over the weekend and I'm still tweaking a few things here and there but for the most part, this is my new layout for a while.

I've worked with the Mister Linky people to get us back up and running again, hopefully we won't have another outage this week. Should you try to check in and Mister Linky isn't showing, just leave a comment letting me know and I'll contact them to get us back up again. 

We have LOTS of new members this week, please check to make sure your name appears on the blog roll, apparently a few weeks ago I announced new members but forgot to add them to the blog roll...yeah, old age? Lost my mind? Crazy busy? All of the above? :-)

  2. Hi everyone! I'm so glad to be a part of this challenge and look forward to checking in with you.
    I'm trying to focus on a new healthy habit (or 3) every few weeks. I just found out I have low iron and I'm none too thrilled about the idea of taking iron pills, so my own personal HYC for this week is finding and integrating as many natural, vegetarian sources as I can. What are you guys working on?

  3. Hi all. I'm having a week of emotional turmoil. I may lose my job. I have a love-hate relationship with my job to which I have devoted way to much of the last four years. It could be the best and the worst thing to happen.
    My exercise and eating have kind of fallen by the wayside, but i have lost 1.4 lbs.

  4. Hi everyone!! I'm so excited to join this challenge. I didn't lose any weight this last week, but I didn't gain any either, so I'm okay with it. I understand why, considering my food choices and lack of exercise, and I'm looking forward to making this week count!   5. I'm finally back in my groove! This week I'm working on cleaning up my eating a little bit more (fast food this weekend, I'm looking at you!) and adding some distance to my jogging intervals!

    Ah, the promise of a new week! I hope everyone has a wonderful one ahead of them! =)

  8. Checking in, though I have no idea what my weight is. I almost jumped on the scale when the nurse weighed my son (we are in the hospital) but didn't want the nurse (male) to see my weight. ;-) My son's was way tooooo low. :-( I am NOT letting the stress of this bring me down!

    Must say, I've done an AWESOME job at keeping active while here. (patting myself on back) Have walked every day but Sunday and even did the 10 flights of stairs one day. My calves are still sore from that one and it was Thursday! Oy!

    The cafeteria has lots of healthy choices and I brought some healthy stuff from home, too. Unless I can sneak onto a scale sometime, I'll just have to wait until we get home to weigh. But the most important thing is making healthy choices every day!

  11. I'm checking in for the week. It's been a pretty awesome week for me. I had a huge loss of 6 lbs.(no idea where that came from) and I joined a gym with my sister and am loving that. Hope everyone once else is having a super week also.

  13. Just finished week two (out of four) of the Pounds Down Challenge. I'm REALLY hurting tonight on the sides of my upper legs near my butt. What muscle group is that anyway? It's super sore. Feels good, in a way, to know that I've worked hard. Hope everyone is doing well.

    Congrats to everyone whos working towards a healthier you!

    I'm gradually starting to lose weight again (my current meds weren't being very friendly to me) and for my b-day last month my hubby got me the wii fit - it's hilarious! Can't afford the gym and my long walks tend to get boring, so the wii fit is perfect because it makes everything a blast. So much so that my hubby's even doing it! So it's been a lot easier to lose weight since he's gotten on board as well. I'm down another 3.4 lbs.

  17. HI everyone! My new medication is kicking my butt but I'm managing to maintain on the weight front. I'm starting to adjust to it but I find I'm just tired all of the time. They say it will pass, lets hope this is the week I adjust.

    Sounds like some of you are having great weeks. Make sure you check out K.K's little black dress, she looks amazing!

    Yay Dani.. you sound so amazingly positive.. jogging is something i look at and it hurts just thinking about it. someday.. maybe.

    As for me, I was down another 3.4 lbs this week... 2 lbs til I have 50 lbs off!! My personal HYC for the week is to walk 5 km 3 times this week. Did it once last night.. plan to again Wed & Fri. woo hoo! have a great week everyone!! Amy (aka Amos)

  24. Woo hoo, the site looks great. I've been working too hard and then took a week off to play and gained 2 pounds then lost three pounds and as of today I'm down 18 lbs. Yay me.
