Healthy You Challenge Check In Week 32, 2009

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a great week and meeting your goals for week 32 of 2009. I'm trying to stay focused on he prize and motivated by NOT weighing in for the month of August and let me tell you, I'm having some serious scale withdrawals. But I'm also looking forward to weighing in at the end of the month and sharing my results with everyone.

So what has gone right this week? What has gone wrong? And what are you focused on this week?

  1. I had a few slip ups this week which resulted in a 1.1 lb gain, but I am not letting that deter me from making this a great week. I hope everyone's week went really well :)
    Congrats Diana on not stepping on that scale - I know how hard it is!

  4. The kids are back in school as of today so it looks like there will be a lot more structure in my days ... which is a GOOD THING! I'm excited, as I finally got my butt back into the gym as well.

    See! Totally a good thing!

  6. I am down 2.8 lbs. Still struggling with food! Down 37.6 pounds total - people are really starting to notice!

  8. Feeling good about myself this week!! Making healthy choices and moving in a forward motion. I lost 2.6 pounds and was able to check off some goals along the way.

  9. I was way up... 4.4lbs this week but fairly sure some of that at least was water weight. I was down in the dumps too over the weekend but I'm feeling like I'm getting back on track again now.

  10. Weight and waistline have gone up from a too-carefree weekend. Gotta get my act together and fall back into my healthy routines this week!!

  11. Hi all - don't give up, all. Every week that we try is another week of success. Checking in here really gets me refocused for the week ahead. Had an appointment with my personal trainer yesterday after 6 months of skipping out. Feel sore and a bit tired, but I feel great! Have a plan for the next 2 weeks until we meet again. I forgot what a great mood booster lifting weights (or any exercise) is!

  12. GREAT week last week, lost 3.6 lbs, for a total of 51 lbs! I was so happy to change my HYC badge to the 50 lb badge on my blog. :)

    it's a hot one this week, but I'm determined to keep going, getting in the exercise, and eating right.

    LOVE the Tolkien quote above posted by Jones. Very true.

  14. On the way back down again. I've been making healthy choices during a very busy time. Getting lots of walking in. Also had a busy weekend with a fun gun class. :-)

  15. I lost 2 lbs this week! ::happy dance::

    I lowered my intake level by 100 kcal. I had been eating 1500 since about 15-20 lbs ago. I went over target a few days, as I am still adjusting, but that is the only change I made to attribute to the bigger than normal loss. ::scratches head::

  17. It's so funny how a big health scare can just snap you right back on track. A few weeks ago I had a gigantic anxiety flare up that scared the crap out of me. I've been struggling with and and doing lots of things to fix it since. But one silver lining is that my cravings and binginess are completely gone. I've been completely scared straight!

    This past week was the first one I had my appetite back and I didn't do great with exercise, so I gained a measley 0.8 pounds. Since my weigh in Saturday I've been walking and the appetite is mysteriously weak again, so I'm already down 2 or 3 pounds.

    I'm just trying to focus on my health right now. I can say for sure that I never thought my problem would be not wanting food! Ah, the mysteries of life :) Makes you thankful for all the blessings you DO have.

  18. This was a PERFECT week for me. I had no slip up, I stayed on my plan and I was rewarded with a 6.6 weight loss. I'm a little nervous because now I'm going to have to do something extra special this week to make sure I keep seeing less of me. It amazes me that less than one month ago, I could not even walk 20 minutes without wanting to take a break, now I'm going 50 to 55 minutes at a faster pace. This rocks!!!
